Wu-Tang Clan
Wu-Tang Clan is a renowned hip-hop music group from New York City, United States. It includes RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, Ol' Dirty Bastard (deceased), and the controversial figure, Cappadonna. The group was formed in 1992 in the Staten Island borough of New York City, although some of its members hail from the Brooklyn borough of the city. The name "Wu-Tang" is inspired by the 1980s Hong Kong movie "Shaolin and Wu-Tang". In their debut album, the band members were also divided into two factions, Wu-Tang and Shaolin, symbolizing their two opposing sides in rap.
Wu-Tang Clan is famous for its hardcore hip-hop style. In 2007, in MTV's "Greatest Hip-Hop Groups of All Time" ranking, Wu-Tang Clan was listed as the fifth.
